OUR STORY
Started in 1986, Shelton Herb Farm is located on the old Goodman family home-site
located in Brunswick County, North Carolina.
ABOUT SHELTON HERB FARM
To be closer to the land, the idea of growing the herbs that were not so readily available locally, evolved into the idea of starting a home-grown business. Inspired by national trends and increased interest in herbs for food and health, Margaret Shelton began her agricultural journey with just a few dozen herbs the first year, in 1986.
Shelton Herb Farm is open year-round with plants for the changing seasons. The Farm participates in several local Farmers' Markets, as well as seasonal plant sales both locally and away.
Our fresh-cut herbs are sold to local restaurants and caterers.
We grow culinary herbs, specialty greens, microgreens, and edible flowers; from cooking essentials to the unexpected.
Our current inventory includes over 800 varieties of herbs, vegetables, and native heirloom plants.
